Synopsis: Every first and third Monday of the month, The
Straits Times analyses the beat of the changing environment, from
biodiversity conservation to climate change in this podcast
series.


Singapore is ramping up its drive to make its vehicle fleet
cleaner. New incentives have been introduced to make cleaner cars
more attractive, while a petrol duty hike has been imposed to
help “set price signals and change behaviour”. 


In this episode, Green Pulse hosts Audrey Tan and David Fogarty
host ST senior transport correspondent Christopher Tan on the
efforts to reduce emissions from the land transport sector, and
whether the initiatives will yield results.


We also speak with Associate Professor Lynette Cheah, who leads
the Sustainable Urban Mobility research group at the Singapore
University of Technology and Design, on the link between land
transport and climate change.
