Gimme a Smart One Prank Call & the Origin of Gladys Ridgeford p1

It's Gladys again, and this time she is upset with her stupid
grandchildren and wants a smart kid, so she decides to call up
one of those sponsor a child programs for a few cents a day to
get one, but nothing can work out so easily can it?  There
always seems to be problems with the selection and shipping of
children, and Gladys really runs into some.  How will she
ever get her television fixed?  How can you tell if a child
is intelligent from just a picture? Don't wipe your nose. Gladys
