‘These tools are really great, but can you use the tools to coach
upwards?’ It’s a question that we get asked often during our
coaching programs. And it always comes with a sense of hesitation
or concern.
Of course, we say that you can coach upwards, downwards and
sidewards, but how feasible is that? Should I coach upwards? Can
I coach upwards? Do these tools work upwards? And what if you are
in a hierarchical organisation?
Join us for this Coaching Café where we welcome a special
guest: Group Captain Forster (Foz) Breckenridge, Air Force,
to help us answer these questions. Foz will share the
practical ‘5 P’s’ for coaching upwards and his years of
experience as a senior officer with Air Force to demonstrate what
to do and what not to do.
If you are a regular, you know the vibe and the great
contribution that you make to our discussions; so we look forward
to welcoming you and offering you a value-packed 30 minutes each
Friday.
If you’ve not joined us for a Coaching Café, now is your
opportunity to schedule this time for your professional and
personal development. In addition, you have the opportunity
to collect ICF CCEU’s for FREE. In no time at all, you’ll
be looking forward to Friday lunchtimes, just like we all do!
