Every time a COVID-19 lockdown approaches, we see a rise in
panic-buying.



While some people are experiencing FOMO (fear of missing out),
others are grappling with anxiety a compulsive desire to shop to
feel like they are in control.



Dr Dan Fassnacht, Senior Lecturer in the College of Education,
Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University, joins Jennie
Lenman to discuss the phenomenon, in light of his paper which
proposes diagnostic criteria for compulsive buying shopping
disorder.
