1517: National Emergency Medal Winner - Kerren Black

Victor Harbor resident and SES volunteer Kerren Black has been
awarded the National Emergency Medal for her service during the
unprecedented 2019-20 Kangaroo Island Bushfires.



The local woman from the Port Elliot unit spent weeks supporting
the CFS and other emergency groups during the Black Summer
Bushfires by creating and running a base camp with tents,
supplies and food.



She joins Jennie Lenman in this podcast to discuss the
recognition and talk about the challenging but rewarding
experience on KI.
