There’s a campaign to save the oldest Presbyterian church
building in South Australia, which is in need of repairs.

The icon of the town was built by Scottish settlers in 1848 and
is considered to hold both spiritual and cultural
significance.

Helen Stacey from the fundraising and publicity group joins
Jennie Lenman to discuss the project, the history of the church
and region and to tell us about  Theatrical-Historical Tours
of the church and town in the first two weekends of May.

(Kirk & Town: St Andrews & Early Strathalbyn tours are on
7 & 8 May and 14 & 15 May at 2pm  followed by
country-style afternoon tea in the Hall.  Book through
TryBooking.com or phone 0438 847 329.)
