1588: Tackling the Housing Crisis through Vacant Property Tax - Robert Simms

New census data reveals almost 84,000 homes are vacant across the
SA.

The stats come at a time when many people are reportedly sleeping
on the street, in tents, cars and caravans.

The Greens have come up with a solution and are calling for South
Australia to follow the lead of Victoria by implementing a tax on
vacant residential properties.

Housing Spokesperson, Robert Simms MLC, plans to introduce a Bill
in Parliament this week to tackle the housing crisis.

He joins Jennie Lenman to discuss how it could work.
