1589: Local Ngarrindjeri Leader Celebrated Nationally

Ngarrindjeri leader Walter Jackson has been recognised on a local
and national scale this week.



During a NAIDOC award ceremony in Melbourne on Saturday 2 July,
he picked up a 'Caring for Country and Culture Award' back at
home in Murray Bridge on Monday, he was one of two recipients of
a Worker of the Year Award for his leadership as a role model for
Aboriginal youth and the broader Ngarrindjeri community.
