ABOUT OUR GUEST


Mary, also known by her artist name Marza, is an Orthodox misfit
who dabbles in iconography and sacred art. She wants to encourage
people to see God in places where people assume we can't find
Him. She draws inspiration from iconography, anime, graffiti, and
street art. As a queer person of faith, she uses my art to take
what's been used as a weapon against queer people and turn it
into a source of hope and strength and as a form of defiance
against people who want to decide where queer people are allowed
to belong.
