Welcome to Episode 15 Season 2 of our Family Travel Australia
Series. This week we take a breath in and reassess our current
situation and make plans during this uncertain time! We make
peace with where we are at, and decide to approach this period of
our lives from a 'glass half full' perspective and seek out the
silver lining in this all!

We share our TOP 5 STRATEGIES to not only survive but thrive
during this time. Below are the list we discuss;

TOP 5 STRATEGIES FOR LOCK DOWN

TIPS FOR KEEPING HEALTHY, HAPPY & HOPEFUL

1. ISO-BREAKERS (fun ice-breakers to lift the mood)

When tensions and emotions are rising, take a break and enjoy an
iso-breaker to lift the mood. Think quick and fun games for the
entire family, craft activities, science experiments, treasure
hunts, board games, jigsaw puzzles and so much more! If you're
living in a van or small space, there's plenty of games you can
create using everyday household items such as shooting pegs into
a bucket, bowling with stacking cups, or making a cubby house.
Get creative and have fun!

2. BRAIN FOOD (time to plant seeds not weeds!)

There's never been a better time in history to access knowledge
and learn! Why not start that course you've always dreamed of,
pick up a book or listen to an audio book. There is so much on
offer at heavily discounted prices or for free, so make hay while
the sun shines!

If you hold a library card, download the Borrow Box and OverDrive
apps to access over 30,000 free books, audiobooks, magazines and
more.

3. 5-MINUTES OF MINDFULNESS (start your day right!)

Just 5 minutes of intentional positive thinking and gratitude a
day can make all the difference to how you are feeling and
coping! Start and end your day with your "First and Last 5
Minutes" and give thanks for all the good things in your life
right now.

4. COOKING (nourish your body and mind)

Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food" Hippocrates
(400 BC)

Now is the time to nourish your body and mind with Feel Good food
that will make the whole family happy and healthy!  Why not
try a new recipe, get the kids involved, or sit down together for
a meal and yarn.

5. DAILY EXERCISE (get those endorphins going)

Let's face it, nothing makes you feel better than exercise, and
as a lock down exemption, now is the time to get outside and get
that body moving! If you can't get outdoors, check out some of
the great online options available direct to your living room:
