Ian Wilson - Orpheus Down

Composer Ian Wilson's ten-movement piece Orpheus Down is inspired
by the story of Orpheus’ journey to the Underworld to bring his
lover Eurydice back from the dead.


The myth and its themes of deep and dark inspire fascinating
music on a new release featuring bass clarinettist Gareth Davis
and double-bassist Dario Calderone, for whom the piece was
written.
