103. Instagram is DEAD to Me - Why We're About to See a HUGE Marketing Shift in the Social Media World

Instagram is DEAD to me - and the times are changing. As a
Christian Business Coach, I’m thinking about changing my strategy
as the market changes - is it time for you to make a change, too?
Many people are getting discouraged with their results on
Instagram and that means they will begin using other platforms to
market their business. As faith-led coaches and course-creators,
we want to build our businesses on platforms that have long-term
benefits and will be sustainable for the long haul. And Instagram
might not be the right one.


NO LONGER ABOUT THE # OF FOLLOWERS YOU HAVE


Right now, you can get more engagement with an account with 500
followers than with 30K! The platform is not rewarding accounts
with lots of followers, but rather, the quality of your
followers. If you have a smaller account, this is a great time to
get engaged with those who follow you. Be focused on the quality,
not the quantity. 


GET BACK TO CONNECTION


Marketing is really shifting towards making a connection with
others. Other platforms have focused on building relationships
for a while now. But Instagram has been in kind of an identity
crisis for a while - trying to be all things to all people. In
the end, though, it all comes down to making connections and
building relationships and DMs are a great way to have real
