Logan Carlson is a charter boat captain in Ketchikan, Alaska. And
a student in dental school in Idaho. Confused? No need to be.
Come summertime, Logan heeds the call of the wild and heads to
the Last Frontier. You’ll find him guiding folks on the trip of a
lifetime for halibut and salmon, to name a few. In this episode,
Logan does so for a group of friends that stopped by for a visit.
The weather and hungry fish decided to cooperate for one of those
days these friends will never forget. Our discussion about the
fishing was so good, Logan even forgot to mention they saw 30+

Fishing experience

Logan grew up fishing the many rivers and streams in Idaho for
salmon and other freshwater species. When he got the opportunity
to go to Alaska, he put that fishing knowledge to good use and
became a charter captain for Oasis Alaska Charters. Halibut,
salmon, and cod are all on the menu when Captain Logan is at the
helm.
