This week Jackson Kennedy joins us from Blythe, California.
Jackson is working towards becoming a Federal wildlife officer.
He knows and loves the California outdoors well, and is keen to
help conserve it. But it should be no surprise that his favorite
thing about getting out is getting bit. Jackson is an avid bass
angler constantly on the hunt for big California largemouth bass.
And recently he has has taken to saltwater. In this episode,
Jackson shares with us his first Catalina Island fishing trip.
Bass gear in hand, he got dialed in an got the rod bent. But the
big toothy fish finale didn’t turn out quite the way he had

Fishing experience

Jackson’s primary fishing targets have been largemouth,
smallmouth, and striped bass in his home waters around Blythe,
California. However, it turns out there is a little bit of
saltwater in California as well. Having been bit by the saltwater
bug, Jackson has started dipping his tackle in the blue water as
well. In this episode we talk about how he has plied his bass
gear to entice some nice saltwater catches. Plus an awesome trip
for some Catalina Island fishing.
