Conversations on how to lead for the critical decade ahead

Suzanne Steele's the MD of Adobe in Australia and shares what she
knows about leadership in this episode.

At age 16, Suzanne left school due to some extenuating family
circumstances, and never had the opportunity to be educated at
university. She made do in some secretarial and admin work,
before deciding to follow what had always been her dream; joining
the police force.

She landed in a startup at 21, and into the world of technology.

She knows the value of mentorship -- and particularly
sponsorship, as well as the need to address equal pay and to keep
course correcting as a leader.

Suzanne tells Kate Mills about some of the most fulfilling work
she has done at Adobe centres around improving outcomes for the
employees she leads. When she joined three and a half years ago,
Adobe had just achieved gender pay parity globally.

“Since then, we’ve maintained it – because it’s not a point in
time that have you gender pay parity, it’s something that you
have to constantly monitor, and check and asses and course
correct.”

Over the last 18 months, the tech giant has also rolled out
“opportunity parity”, which Suzanne also explains.

The Leadership Lessons is producted by Agenda Media,

ahead.
