The son of an oral surgeon and the nephew of one of the most
well-known oral surgeons of his time, my guest today always
planned on becoming a dentist—he just didn’t plan on wanting to
quit after only three years in practice. After coming out of
dental school with an idealistic view of how his career in
dentistry would go, Dr. Paul Henny found himself struggling to
cope with the reality that many people didn't like dentists and
weren’t particularly interested in what he had to say. But once
he took the time to search within himself and solidify his
vision, everything changed.
Now a leading cosmetic and fine restorative dentist in Roanoke,
Virginia, the lead author and managing editor of
CoDiscovery.com, and co-founder of the Bob Barkley Study Club,
Paul joins the show to share how he overcame his
early struggles with the profession. Listen in to hear about
the paradigm-shifting moment that made him think about
dentistry differently and changed the way he wanted to do
things, his advice for creating a relationship-based,
health-centered practice, and more.
