Jon Shaivitz – Roses on the Vine

Jon Shaivitz is an LA-based feature film writer/director originally
from Baltimore, Maryland. Jon learned the fundamentals of
screenwriting and filmmaking from his early days interning and
working as a Set PA on TV shows for HGTV, National Geographic and
industrial video content for Rock Creek Productions of Washington
DC where he also got first hand experience shooting, editing,
directing and producing for the US Air Force, among other Federal

moving to LA in 2009, Jon has won many accolades for his work
including Top 50 Semifinalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship
2022, Runner-Up in the StoryPros Awards 2022, the Guaranteed
Signing Prize in Roadmap Writers JumpStart 2019, "Best Feature" at
the 2021 Atlanta Screenplay Awards and has had multiple scripts
optioned. Jon loves everything about storytelling and hopes to show
the world stories and characters that have never been seen before.
Jon’s first written/directed feature film ROSES ON THE VINE
starring Cameron Cowperthwaite (FALLOUT) and Madeline Sinclair
recently completed post-production and is seeking distribution.
