The Death of Matthew Flores

March 24, 1994: Matt’s ninth day of training for his new job. That
morning, he arrived at work and parked in the middle of the lot. As
he exited his car, Matt Flores was shot once in the back of the
head at point-blank range. He probably never even saw his killer.
And incredibly, even though there were 22 people in the parking lot
at the time, nobody else did either. Then the investigation was
held up by bad luck. Despite the presence of several security
cameras in the parking lot, the killing itself took place in a
