REVIEWING THE QUESTIONS
How long would you have had to follow Jesus around until you saw
someone healed?

How long would someone have to follow YOU around until
they saw someone healed!?!?

MESSAGE - HEALING Revisited 3.0  - The ISSUE OF LACK OF
LOVE

Why don't we heal the
sick? •Ignorance

•Deception / False Teaching (God’s will, Gifts
ceased)

•Unbelief

•Fear – Fear of Failure? Fear of Man?

•Lack of Love

 What motivated Jesus?
•Matthew 14:14 - And when Jesus went out He saw
a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for
them and healed their sick.

•Romans 5:5 - And hope does not disappoint, because the
love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy
Spirit who was given to us.

Lack of Love - My greatest issue/sin

•1 John 3:17-18 - But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees
his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does
God’s love abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word
or talk but in deed and in truth.

If anyone has the Holy Spirit inside of them, with the mandate
and authority to heal the sick and sees someone who needs
healing, yet closes his heart against him-how can God’s love be
in that person?” (DOV – Dave’s Ouch Version)

How do we get "this love"? - 1st way - BY HOLY
SPIRIT
•Romans 5:5 - And hope does not disappoint,
because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts
through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

How do we get "this love"? - 1st way - THROUGH
OBEDIENCE
•1 John 2:4-5 - 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his
commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, 5 but
whoever keeps His word, in him truly the love of God is
perfected.

•1 John 2:15-16 - 15 Do not love the world or the things in the
world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not
in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh
and the desires of the eyes and pride of life —is not from the
Father but is from the world.

•1 John 5:2-3 - 2 By this we know that we love the children of
God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For this is
the love of God, that we keep his commandments.

•1 John 4:7-12 - 7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and
whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
8 Anyone who does not love does not know God,
because God is love. 9 In this the love of God
was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the
world, so that we might live through Him. 10 In
this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and
sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to
love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God;
if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is
perfected in us.

•1 John 4:16-21 - 16 So we have come to know and
to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever
abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we
may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as He is so
also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear
in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with
punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
19 We love because He first loved us.
20 If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his
brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom
he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.
21 And this commandment we have from Him:
whoever loves God must also love his brother.

OUR RESPONSE

•Obedience – Time to REPENT again.
Confess.

•Encounter – God’s love deposited by the Holy Spirit,
“love is from God”

•Commitment
