This week, the guys welcome their old friend and former Pilots
Podcast co-host, Tim Brick, onto the show to discuss an album that
Tim has a lot of appreciation for. Unknown Pleasures, the 1979
debut by short-lived British post-punk outfit, Joy Division, is
considered one of the most influential albums of all time. Perhaps
the first new wave record, Unknown Pleasures is a gut-wrenching
exploration of lead vocalist Ian Curtis' depression and apathy
towards life stemming from his struggles with epilepsy. This record
is notoriously morose and ominous with a cavernous sound that both
entrances and disarms. Hear what the guys thought of this bleak
masterpiece on this week's Human Music.
