Why do we try to fit in?

As children of the True and Living  God, why do we try
fitting in with the world?  It's something to think about,
but rather it's an observation that I frequently stumble upon.
 To be honest, it's something that I find myself doing
sometimes.  Do we really need to be entangled with the
traditions and customs of the world?  So, why do we try
fitting into the ways of the world?  We don't have to
stress, worry, or even bother trying to fit in, when we know who
we are in Jesus Christ. Thanks for listening, and I hope you all
