Musician and composer Steve Pretty takes you on a musical tour of
your own house and your innately musical brain.


  


Steve explores what happens to melody when you add a single, held
note - a drone. He demonstrates the role of drones in Indian
classical music with master violinist Jyotsna Srikanth, looks
into why drones are so ubiquitous in film and TV (whilst pitching
his own drones to TV producers), and searches for some tasty
drone sounds in his household appliances.


Great fun for locked down families, friends or singles - or
anyone curious to learn more about music. He can’t promise to
turn you into a concert flautist, but this podcast will transform
the way you hear and appreciate music.
