Valérie Courtois is building a social movement for environmental
conservation. For more than 10 years, she has been the executive
director of the Indigenous Leadership Initiative and has been an
advocate for Indigenous-led conservation. We discuss Valérie’s
career, the importance of Canada’s boreal forests, and the role of
conservation in truth and reconciliation.
