Dr. Brett Furst, Psy.D, LMFT specializes in treating adult and
adolescent adoptees who struggle with a variety of issues, both
related and not related to their adoption. Adoptees are almost
twice as likely to suffer from addiction, mental health, ADHD,
and a variety of other mental health related issues than their
non-adopted counterparts, while also experiencing a distant
scarcity of specialized services to help them. To better serve
this population, Dr. Brett has created some of the first
treatment protocols specific to adult/adolescent adoptees, and
frequently speaks to and trains other clinicians around the
country to better serve this population.

In addition to his adoption work, Dr. Brett Furst focuses on
using a Gestalt lens to help clients find their authentic selves
through the exploration of their attachments, external messages,
and, most importantly, who they are not.   Dr. Brett holds a
B.S. in Child Development from The University of California,
Davis, an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman
University, and a Doctorate in Couples and Family Therapy from
Alliant International University.
