The Last Condor

Mike Murphy is a retired elementary school teacher and has been
coaching in Kare Youth League for over 40 years. We talk a lot
about Rio Hondo Prep football today and what makes it so great. We
also discuss the similarities between the 1977 and 2001 CIF
Championship Games that occurred at Kare Field. Both games were
Overtime thrillers and resulted in the first and last 8 man titles
for RHP. I had the privilege to play for Mike Murphy when I was in
6th grade and am incredibly grateful for the many lessons I learned
from him.
