Moments and Memories

Dale Gardner is a college baseball umpire who works in the WCC,
WAC, Big West, and Mountain West. He is also one of my closest
friends from my college umpiring days. I've worked a lot of games
with Dale and have shared countless laughs over the years. Dale
grew up in Los Angeles and is a proud fan of LA sports. He and I
discuss our excitement over the Rams being in Super Bowl LVI and
talk about some other sports memories from the past. Way before
umpiring, Dale was on the TV show Soul Train for a while and shares
his experience from those good times. One of the only things I miss
from umpiring is being able to hang out with great guys like Dale
Gardner.
