Purity Culture and Eating Disorders w Amee Severson

Joy and Adam, with returning guest host Amee Severson, share
stories of their religious traditions and how those experiences
affected their eating disorder recovery. Processing and
overcoming religious guilt as well as adapting to one's body
after realizing the harms of purity cultures are discussed. Our
hope is for those religious and non-religious among the survivor
community to better understand each other, and, though we may
have similar histories, the outcomes of those stories may be
starkly different.
