The idea of “starting where you are, with what you
have” is a powerful reminder that you don't need to wait
for the perfect bird, or the  perfect conditions, or have
everything figured out before taking action towards creating your
strain. The key is to begin with the birds and resources, skills
and opportunities available to you right now. Instead of waiting
for everything to align perfectly, just take that first step,
however small it may seem. There is an old saying, “You learn
your fowl by breeding them, and you learn your strain while you
create them.” The learning process and your skills will improve
as you go, and each generation will bring you closer to your
ideal strain. So, embrace the journey, embrace the process, and
start right where you are, right now.
