On today’s podcast The Chucker interviews Marshall Terrill,
co-author of Pete Maravich: The Authorized Biography of Pistol
Pete, a 2007 biography of the legendary LSU hoops star. This
coincides with the 19Nine Launch of LSU 


Maravich, who still holds the NCAA’s career scoring leader
despite playing only three seasons at LSU, remains one of the
game’s most iconic and celebrated figures. The Naismith Memorial
Basketball Hall of Fame labeled Maravich “perhaps the greatest
creative offensive talent in history,” but the basketball genius’
off-the-court story, which includes his sudden passing in 1988 at
the age of 40, is arguably as intriguing and nuanced as the tale
he wrote on the hardwood.


Terrill and The Chucker cover it all in this wide-ranging
interview. Terrill is a prolific author who has penned more than
25 books, including biographies of other gone-too-soon icons. His
latest book, STEVE McQUEEN: In His Own Words, will drop in
November.
