Change Committee, and previously Director of Energy and Climate
Change in the Scottish Government where he led the development of
Scotland’s approach to emissions reduction and the energy system
transition. The Climate Change Committee, which was established
under the UK’s Climate Change Act in 2008, is an independent,
statutory body sponsored by the Department for Energy Security and
NetZero that advises both the UK and devolved governments on
emissions targets and on progress in reducing greenhouse gas
emissions and adapting to the impacts of climate
change.
