Talking Texas Politics: Democratic Nominee For TX-4, Catherine Krantz Joins Us.

My name is Catherine Krantz and I am running for Congress because I
think we can do better. Small towns in America are getting the
short end of the stick. We are underfunded in almost everything:
schools, roads, hospitals, and telecommunications. It is time to
put people over politics and invest in our communities. I am a
Progressive Democrat running for office in one of America’s most
Conservative Republican districts but I will win because I know how
frustrated we all are with low paying jobs, high cost of health
care, lack of prosperity and opportunity in our communities. I know
we have more in common with each other than with the career
politicians who represent us and I know we all want what’s best for
our communities. We need more jobs, better jobs that pay a living
wage.  We need Direct Investment in Infrastructure, our
internet and telecommunications infrastructure is barely 1st
world.  Direct Investment in national broad band would lead to
an economic boom all across rural America, it is worth it. We need
Universal Health care, Americans shouldn’t have to worry about an
accident or illness bankrupting their families. America can afford
it, Americans deserve it. Our kids deserve a high quality education
that prepares them for a successful life.  Texas is ranked one
of the lowest funded states for public education, we can do better.
