The Mysterious Stairways to Nowhere

What would you do if you were walking in the woods and stumbled
upon a stairway just sitting there all by itself?  There is
no house surrounding the stairs.  Are these mysterious
stairways to nowhere just the leftover part of some
long-forgotten house, or is there something paranormal going on
