SERIES: NOW WHAT? EPISODE 15: MAKE AND FOLLOW THE PLAN!

INTRODUCTION- SERIES: NOW WHAT? MAKE AND FOLLOW THE PLAN!


HABAKKUK 2:2-3


2 Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and
make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. 
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;  it
speaks of the end
 and will not prove false.  Though it linger, wait for
it,  it will certainly come.

Habakkuk had some complaints that he wanted answered: How long
must I call on you for help, but you act like you don’t hear me.
Why do you make me look at injustice, why do you tolerate wrong?
Why, Why, Why. Don’t that sound like some of us in the church?
Why this, why that, why me Lord, but God is saying “ye of little
faith” set back and watch me work. God tells Habakkuk to look and
watch, and be amazed at what I’m about to do. We don’t know what
God is doing, we don’t understand half of the stuff God does, but
we just got to trust Him. Amen!!!


The Book of Habakkuk has 3 chapters that are full of questions,
complaints, answers, a prayer, faith, and rejoicing. This man is
heartbroken over the violence, injustice, and corruption.

Habakkuk said, but Lord your eyes are too pure to look on evil,
you cannot tolerate wrong. Why do you tolerate these treacherous
people? 


Habakkuk said ok Lord, I will stand in my watch tower. Habakkuk
wanted to be in the best position to hear from God. Waiting and
watching for God to answer us is important, but look at what God
says:  “Write the vision, and make it plain, upon tables
this “refers to the common practice of writing public notices
with large characters on the clay tablets that when someone
running by could easily read them. That he may run that read it.”
If the notice was a warning it would also cause the reader to run
quickly to prepare for what was coming.


God is instructing Habakkuk to put the revelation down clearly so
that someone in the future can take it and deliver it into the
right hands, those who need to hear it. So if you’re that one
that needs to hear this, if you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and
savior, you need to run quickly, the end is near. Amen!!!

STANDING, STATIONED, LOOKING, LISTENING! So often  we miss
what God has to say.  He wants us to ponder over what we
have spoken to Him, make sure that we have said all we want to
say so that when He speaks, He has our full attention. 


God is reminding Habakkuk that what goes out of His mouth will
come to pass fulfilled its purpose. God is not a man that He
should lie. (Numbers 23:19) If God says something, it will be
done, and done the way and in the time that He says it will be
done. This book should inspire every person who has a vision of
work God has for them.

A plan is a detailed proposal for doing or achieving something,
we are preparing for the future. S. W. O. T. (STRENGTHS,
WEAKNESSES, OPPORTUNITIES, THREATS).
 
God has given the plan/vision to you first. You must see and know
it before you give it out. Then you can share it (make it plain).
In other words make it so clear that anyone can understand and
impacted from reading it. There is no time for
exegesis/hermeneutics, the people need it plain, simple, and to
the point.
