A Counterintuitive Vision

God has a vision for human flourishing, and it is revealed in the
opening to the Sermon on the Mount in what is traditionally known
as the Beatitudes. This vision, however, is radically
counterintuititve: it reverses much of what the world thinks
entails human flourishing and happiness. But by participating and
living into these values that Jesus lists, we will find a deep
flourishing in our lives that will restore us: through living out
this vision, we will become the people God intends us to be. |
