Dr. Alan Schatzberg obtained his M.D. from NYU School of Medicine
in 1968 and completed his Residency in Psychiatry in 1972 at The
Massachusetts Mental Health Center. He has previously served as
the 136thPresident of the American Psychiatric Association and
was the Chair of Psychiatry Department at Stanford University
from 1991-2010. He currently serves as a Professor of Psychiatry
and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University and is the
Director of the Stanford Mood Disorders Center
