Mark 2:1-17

The Gospel of Mark is about a King and his Kingdom. The story
begins in an unexpected manner, with a messenger preparing the
way in the middle of the Judean wilderness. In these opening
verses, we encounter the first glimpses of the upside-down nature
of Christ's Kingdom as it invades human history.
