Mass Timber Market Updates - Apr 2021 - Week Seventeen

In this week's mass timber construction news updater, a 50m-tall
building made entirely of wood is capturing international
attention for its innovative design and green credentials—and
construction hasn't yet begun. SAWA will be Rotterdam’s first
timber tower and is being touted as the Netherlands’ “healthiest
building”.  April 22nd is Earth Day, an annual event that
promotes environmental awareness throughout the world. 
France’s wood sector has welcomed the government’s move to update
a strategic contract for the industry to bring it in line with
the country’s pandemic recovery plan and boost the sector’s
contribution to a low-carbon transition. Hines continues to
expand its portfolio of proprietary T3—timber, transit and
technology—projects with the announcement of T3 FAT Village in
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. And a new branch of Blumer Lehmann GmbH for
timber construction | Engineering in Germany. Studio Puisto
partners with nature tourism entrepreneur Kari Vainio with the
realisation of its newly completed ‘uni villas’
resort.
