Wow, we made it! 52 weeks in a row all about mass timber
construction news and current events! It's a lot of news and made
even more special when you think back only five years ago, I
struggled to post more than 20 news items in a month! Now we are
averaging 100 per month. Happy New Year to you all! I wish you

opportunity to drive a brand new Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and
Glue Laminated Timber (GLT) plant in Rotorua.  Planned on
the site of the Toronto Police Service Property Unit — a stretch
home to mostly light industrial uses west of the denser Town
Centre area — the building will stand out from its nondescript
surroundings with a sleek bunker-like exterior that harnesses the
sun to power the critical paramedic equipment housed within. The
structure of the first floor is mainly Glue-laminated timber
(GLT) , and corewall system is concrete structure. The sequential
wooden structure system, just like the roots of orchids, grows
freely and regularly, supporting the main body of the
building.
