Mass Timber Market Updates - Mar 2022 - Week Ten

In this week's episode, the COA Dorm will be approximately
12,000-square-foot building will comprise double- and
single-occupancy rooms, a fully outfitted, multi-stationed
community kitchen, large common area with exposed mass-timber
beams, and a covered outdoor area.  The Auburn University
College of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, in partnership with
other academic colleges and administrative offices, will host the
first international cross-laminated timber, or CLT, conference to
be held in the southern United States next month at The Hotel at
Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. Located at 1200
East 4th Street, within a dynamic and walkable 24/7
dine-shop-live-work neighborhood, T3 Eastside will provide 93,000
sf of Class-A office and 9,200 sf of residential space.
EcoDataCenter will build the new facility in wood with the frame,
interior walls, and ceiling in cross-laminated timber and glulam.
he £4 million GenZero project is exploring a new approach to
building schools for generations to come, by using an ultra-low
embodied carbon timber design and offsite manufacturing to help
achieve net zero. A team of academics working in the Digital
Structures research group at MIT's Building Technology Program
has combined local aesthetic desires with the recent
international push to expend increasing amounts of mass timber
elements into new construction. We shall see you in Portland next
