G’Ra Asim and Rhiana Hernandez (Baby Got Back Talk)

We are joined by G’Ra and Rihanna from the band Baby Got Back
Talk. Forming in 2017, the band have been making catchy, pop punk
songs and have attracted a large following. We discuss the band's
formation and how they ended up on Wiretap Records.


G’Ra recently wrote a piece for the Boston Globe 'A rollicking
rebuke to the idea that rock music isn’t black music'. This was a
pushback against recent comments from Rolling Stone cofounder,
Jann Wenner. 


Baby Got Back Talk have put together a mixtape full of artists
demonstrating that Wenner’s argument that woman and people of
colour 'didn't articulate at that level' within rock music is
nonsense. 


The band will also be releasing a new song and video which will
accompany the article and mixtape. Keep an eye out for this soon.
