In July of 1924 in Ape Canyon Washington five gold prospectors
were attacked while they slept by several large hairy ape like
creatures. The men would claimed they battled the creatures all
night long and by day break even killed one of the creatures they
described as being hairy, seven feet tall, and over three hundred
pounds. One man, Fred Beck, would go on to write a book about
these encounters and would stick to his story until the end of
his life.
