COVID-19 has taught and continues to teach us a lot about our
money mindset. Case in point it's bad enough that we're still
navigating this pandemic, however, when we think about the shift
it has caused us financially, many people didn't see it coming.
One of the books that caused a shift for me years ago was reading
the book The Millionaire Next Door by Dr. Stanley, and Dr. Danko.
This book was groundbreaking for me and it continues to be so to
this day. One of the things they share is when it comes to wealth
building it takes discipline, sacrifice, and hard work, and I
totally agree.
Sadly as the quote goes, "Rich people live like they are poor and
poor people live like they're rich." This quote can't be
emphasized enough because some people that are wealthy don't act
like they are, and poor people who aren't rich try to act as if
they are.
The bottom line is everyone needs to get real about their
financial life and if they don't they will suffer the consequence
of living paycheck to paycheck. I highly recommend that people
get off the hamster wheel when it comes to their finances because
they stand to lose a lot of money due to interest rates on
vehicles, mortgages, personal loans, student loans, and
more.
