47. Keys to Success in the New School Year

A new school year can be very stressful for our children with
autism.  There are new people to meet, new routines to
learn, and all the while having to navigate school and classes
and noisy lunchrooms.


Communicating with your child’s teacher is critical to your
child’s success at school and in the classroom.  You can be
a tremendous resource that can help ensure your child has a
smooth transition into a new classroom with a new teacher.
  After all, you know your child better than anyone.


My goal in this episode is to give you strategies that you can
use going into the new school year so that it is a successful
year for both you and your child.
