64. Self-Injurious Behaviors & Autism

Self-injury is a very severe form of behavior that has one of the
highest risks of medical injury. These episodes can lead to cuts,
bruises, broken bones, concussions, and dental problems.

Scratching


Arm Banging


Punching


Hair Pulling


Skin Picking


Individuals who are exhibiting these behaviors are doing these
things hard enough to HURT themselves.
