John Arthur Akroyd

For a period of time starting in the late '70s well up until the
'90s, there was a monster on the loose. He wreaked havoc in and
around the Santiam pass as he worked for the state transportation
department. The very man that was sent out to help you when your
car broke down, was the same man who got away with murder for
years. As the crimes continued he was given the name the Highway
20 Killer, but to the people who knew him, he simply went by the
