Anime Spotlight: Mawaru Penguindrum (2011)

Episode 196: Time for another decade spotlight to get hype for
our Anime of the Decade episode! For the second part of our 2011
segment we chose to watch and review Mawaru Penguindrum, a work
directed by  Kunihiko Ikuhara after his long absence since
completed Revolutionary Girl Utena.  We go over the many
themes and try our best to dissect the many underlying messages
in this wacky, dark, and complex show.
