Platform Episode 2 - Coco Sanchez

The second episode of our new podcast, Platform, is now online
and this time we speak with one of the most recognisable ladies
in blading, Coco Sanchez.


Coco has competed all over the world and was a member of the
Rollerblade pro team, but she decided to relinquish that
responsibility for personal reasons.


She was later flown out to Barcelona to promote the Razors Loca,
a skate marketed towards female bladers, but found the experience
so toxic that she ended up throwing the skates in the trash.


Coco offers an interesting insight into what it’s like being a
woman in the blading industry, the sexism and discrimination she
has faced that ultimately let to her stepping away from the
industry, and her new life as a nomadic blader travelling around
America’s skateparks.
