Today, The Two Mikes again spoke with Riley Moore, the State
Treasurer of West Virginia.
As Mr. Moore said on his last visit to the show, he is focused on
dealing with banks who are discriminating against the fossil-fuel
industry in West Virginia on the basis of the ESG (Environmental,
Social, and Corporate Governance Score), which is an evaluation of
a firm’s collective conscientiousness for social and environmental
factors) that is assigned to fossil-fuel companies by -- you
guessed it -- the banks.
In the present case, Mr. Moore is facing off against a firm called
Blackrock, which has $10 trillion under its management.
