MODERN SKIING (1896-2021) Mathias Zdarsky

In 1896 Mathias Zdarsky imported skiing from Scandinavia and the
concept of downhill skiing from Norway.   


In the 1950's Howard Head introduced aluminium skis and then Bob
Lange the plastic boot soon after in the 1960's. around 1993 the
"shaped" ski was introduced.
