development at St David’s College) and Ross Williams (Head of
Physical Education & Sport at St David’s College). In this
episode, we discuss 'what should go into a PE curriculum', The
chaps both share the fine work that they are doing at St Davids
College with the PE curriculum and their 'unique' approach they
have taken through their own reflections from lockdown. We
discuss what the traditional approaches you may have found in
schools in the past where to PE curriculums, and how schools
alongside St Davids are putting their own twist on the curriculum
to help create an environment that allows children to be
self-determined and engaged with PE, as well as their examples of
using gamification and adapting the curriculum to meet the needs
and wants of the children within the college. Finally,
implications for coaching/teaching practice are discussed!
